An immersive Online Learning Community for Curious 3rd through 5th Grader
Some children don't need more practice. They need more to think about.
They want to ask questions, wrestle with challenging ideas, share what they notice, and know what other kids are thinking.
The Curious Collective offers them the opportunity to do this.
A Small Community And Big Ideas
In small cohorts of just 5 to 6 students, children come together each week to collectively grapple with challenging mathematical problems, engage in lively conversations about great books, and ponder questions worth exploring.
Our educators aren’t doing the thinking for their students.
Instead, they create experiences that invite students to think for themselves and think with one another.
What makes it a collective?
A community of learners who come to understand that good thinking is something we do together.
Students learn to listen carefully to one another, not simply to wait for their turn to speak. They seek to genuinely understand an idea before responding to it. They learn to build on ideas they find compelling and respectfully challenge conjectures they believe may be flawed.
They discover that learning is rarely neat or immediate. Sometimes an idea takes time. Sometimes you have to grapple with a problem, get stuck, try again, and keep working until something begins to make sense. Sometimes, another person helps you see what you could not see on your own.
Moreover, students learn to accept coaching. They come to learn that feedback is not a judgment of their ability, but as an opportunity to make their thinking clearer, strengthen an argument, or recognize a flaw in their reasoning.

Collective Core: $595 per 8-week experience
Cohort size: 5–6 students
Grade levels: 3rd–5th grade
Format: Online, live, small-group learning
Optional enrichment:
Piano or Guitar — $50 per lesson
Citizen Science — $50 per session
